About us

Gary & Carol’s desire to share the joys of music with children began with their own children. From music being a big part of family life came ‘theatre in education’ performances & led to Gary and Carol specializing in early childhood music, movement & wellbeing in-service workshops. Gary and Carol feel strongly that music, movement and the creative arts assist in promoting a richness and joy in life that adds to individual wellbeing and family and community health.

Their enthusiasm for early childhood education involves them in teacher training for early childhood professionals within Australia and internationally each year. An ongoing interest in health and wellbeing has meant that Yoga and alternative health has also been an ongoing interest and source of study for many years and is now reflected in workshops for adults as well as children in wellness and relaxation issues. Their CDs and BOOKs promote fun, easy, appropriate and culturally diverse music and movement ideas. Current resources include: Songs around the World for Young Children, Dances around the World for Young Children, Music for Little People, Favourite Songs, YogaPlay and Relaxation for Young Children. Gary and Carol hava taught extensively in Sydney and regional NSW & throughout Australia including Perth, Melbourne, Darwin, Hobart, Brisbane, as well as in Finland, Singapore, Macau, Vietnam and China.

Carol was a school teacher and social worker before concentrating on early childhood music and movement. She trained as a recreational folk dance teacher with Folk Dance Australia, developing an enduring love of multicultural music and dance. Carol has extended her interest in young children’s learning and new brain research by completing a Masters in Early Childhood Studies from Macquarie University focusing on movement and learning for young children. She has 20 years experience working with young children and training teachers and carers in music and movement. Carol has been a keen yoga student for over 20 years, loves to swim, sings with a local accapella choir and plays recorder with a group of friends each week.
